Architecture of Efteling
The fantastical Efteling park is a place of magic. Storybook architecture done with an impressive level of craftmanship stages a beautiful telling of fairytales. Of the many places I have visited, few capture the dreamlike feeling of entering through the House of Five senses, walking the royal road to Symbolica with Baron 1898’s dive looming behind trees. Then this dream turns nightmarish. Haunts at Spookslot come out for a dance macabre, Droomvlucht takes you into a fever dream of fairies, and then there is the madness at Villa Volta.
